I received late lastnight
on my book,
"Little Girl Lost"

Although i'm not a big
fan of nonfiction work,
Trixie Love's
"Little Girl Lost"
deals with a subject --
child abuse -- that makes
it definitely worth reading.






The novel is an
autobiographical account
of Love's life.
A shy child of two deaf mutes.
The author describes herself
as a little lost girl, who
craves love, as she searches
for reasons and explanations
as to why no one
-- especially her parents,
grandparents and siblings --
loves her.






Each chapter of the book
is a vignette, where Love captures brief moments in
her life.
She takes her readers
on a journey through her youth, as she tries to
come to terms with her life
-- a life that was filled
with hardship and abuse.
She lets you walk in her shoes,
allowing them to experience
the loneliness, rejection,
blame and pain she felt.





Readers are exposed to
the phychology of dealing
with abuse -- just as Love confronted this issue as
a child.
She lets her readers feel
the confusion, and maturity
and coming of age wisdom
she experiences as she
comes to terms with being
a child of abuse.
But I must point out that
the authors autobiographical
story in this book doesn't
make you pity her.
Instead she leaves you with
an admiration and respect
of the undestanding,
strengh and peace she
exudes through her book.





It's almost hard to imagine
that something so awful
happened to an innocent child.
But I found Love's book
to be gripping, eye opening, sad and a honest story
about the abuse children around the world suffer.
The descriptions of how
the author was treated
by her father, grandfather
and her abuser makes you cringe.
The honesty and reality of
the book makes this book
sad, a heartwrenching
true story that touches
your heart -- and compels
you to putting a stop
on child abuse.
Many would not be as
willing or open in sharing such tramatic experiences
as Love does -- and she
deserves to be commended
for bringing awareness to
the subject of vital
importance like child abuse.






There's an old saying that goes:
"You can't understand
certain experiences or feelings,
until you walk a mile in someone else's shoes."
And readers certainly have the opportunity to do
that in this engaging and
pleasant read.
Everyone has a story to
tell, and Love certainly
has a good one in her
debut novel
"Little Girl Lost"

Trixie, your feelings in "Little Girl Lost" are heartrending. An intense and emotional journey into life at its rawest. You made me cry and I know others will feel the same way I did. even some that have gone on for they didnt
have a chance..
it is gripping and so heartfelt
tore my heart into more than one night....

has learned to give love... From the depth of ashes and tears and pain....

I have read the story,..was moved by the descriptions..the struggle..feeling of rejection and fighting these odds with grit..as a shell in "little girl lost"..A must read for people who cry about child abuse to gain political mileage..a must read for survivors of abuse..and a must read for people to open their eyes..

Trixie I congratulate you on putting such a brave act together..
