Once you see the truth,
you can't unsee it.
It hangs above the head,
hovering like a hawk,
waiting for the moment
to pierce home to its prey.
It sticks between the ribs,
always patiently discomforting
for its final plunge home
to heart-felt conviction.
It rests upon the tongue
to compell its right moment
to shine in clear brilliance
of lightning-born utterance.
Run 10,000 miles,
and it will follow,
loping like a loving hound
on your trail
to insure your faith.
The truth won't be buried,
entangled or enslaved.
Its revelation is to live,
its denial is to die.
