Essence

A sinuous song
merges with the lapping surf.
It curls the sand -
tossing the shells
over, around and under.


A suffering soul
slips through the salty air. 
It heals its wounds -
catching the breeze
around, up and over.


A sunny spirit
warms in the tropical sun -
It lifts the clouds -
spiraling the stars
over, around and beyond.

No worries, no fears
no crying, no tears
only song and sand and ebbing years.
