Great writing. Talking of hallelujah chorus...
It gives me joy how much beauty that surrounds. The painter and poet have an eye for such beauty.

Yes it certainly should, Eileen. The older I get the more amazed I am by all that surrounds me. I have always loved nature, but it took me a long time to learn to be amazed by every single blade of grass or the beauty of a black velvet sky dotted with God's diamonds. Everything and everyone has their own beauty. God made each different so we would never stop learning that different is what is actually correct and that each amazing difference is a thing to be cherished. How blessed we are to hear the sound of the Whippoorwill or see the majesty of a Redwood tree as it sits upon a cliff overlooking the ocean. Too often we get caught up in the asphalt and concrete that serves as the avenues of our world and forget to take a moment to notice a beautiful maple leaf, so perfect and yet like no other. There is a wonderful message in this poem, Eileen as well as it being absolutely beautiful verse.
