Oh! the nuggets that got away, the story of my life! I think that some of what comes to us is meant just for us, something to help us on our personal journey. I doubt that we really forget them, perhaps we just store them away for a later time. Some of the other things are probably meant for someone else and we are simply a medium, of sorts. What we write, we allow to pour from us and I truly believe that someone, sometime will find what they need in those words that we have left for them. Perhaps I am a dreamer, but I am one who believes that there are no accidents that everything happens as it is supposed to happen, when it is supposed to happen...don't ask me to explain this, particularly when bad things happen, but I believe that I stepped into this blueprint life willfully and with complete understanding of my purpose and fate. I am committed to letting the story unfold and throughout it all, I know that there is a Light from above shining down upon me. Beautiful poem, Eileen. We should all learn to mend our fences and hold tight to those who love and care for us.

A great write, but the deed you've done today is even greater. The woman and her brother are so blessed to have crossed your path Life is too short indeed for anger and hatred, those will just eat up good energy and waste it. Love and compassion are much better companions.

My philosophy is simple. Don't pass the details. The smaller ones are where life really lives.
Life is shorter if you're 100 than if you're 3 years old and life at a younger age seems to be immortal. As we age mortality proves different. There is no time to spare with loved ones. There must be harmony for love to realize living.

Life is too short. Yes. Still, we humans are wont to build our fortresses around ourselves for slight or meaningful hurts. Some only allow angry moss to grow between the cracks of that wall, very few have the heartfelt desire to mend, thank goodness your friend and her brother did. I know about those fortresses.

I believe it is the curse of pride and ego that causes these avoidable estrangements Eileen, and like you I agree, life is far too short for these misguided spats which cause so much hurt and isolation for the participants !
We just should not take life so seriously....
And yeh, write those words of inspiration down before they vaporise...:)...still like you, I find if they were meant to be remembered, they will resurface again, at the appropriate time !

Oh just this morning before fully awake I had a poem in my mind. By the time I got up it was gone. Always keep a notepad by the bed. Writers(or any creative person) by trade are, to my mind, conduits.
We catch communication on invisible currents. But we have to remain open to hear it...As far as inter-personal relations go, we pay a high price for wanting to be right or clinging to hurt. Very wise!
