Sometimes we have to give in When it gets to the breaking point So I finally did what I don't like to do A new pain pill non narcotic But with the effects of a narcotic Put me in a trance like state Okay for a couple of hours Forget pain, have drifting dreams But the groggy feeling won't go away A dull headache and blurry vision Queasy stomach, and itching too I was better off before I took it Not wanting to complain, but Why in hell can't we ever have Relief without the side effects
I dodge medication unless absolutely necessary...this one was a real pill...and with the way side effects are published these days, it's a wonder any of us take medicine...bark is worse than the bite!

NOSUCHTHING, sis. I was on oxycontin for a few years as I couldn't get around without it, TERRIBLE SIDE EFFECTS. Got off that which is NOT easy now, like you, I take one less narcotic, more pain but less side affects. No easy answer, huh? as they say: PAIN SUCKS! I'm prayin for ya, and a whole lot of others, are, too. Be well and smile as much as possible. K?
Interesting question you pose, Eileen, in excellent, thought provoking verse. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease...hope you're feeling much better soon, saying extra prayers for total recovery of mind AND body. :)
