Having a fever I fell asleep in a chair
I awoke with joy that burst from within
Knowing not what I had been dreaming
Yet aware that it had to do with Creator
Because the following words came to mind

Achieving parity with perfected performance

I was astounded by the intent
And knew exactly what it meant

Meditation is a good thing so is silence
Through both we can reach new heights

It made me think of something Dr Wayne Dyer
said, about attracting and being those things
we think: such as negativity:

"Dwelling on what's missing in your life"
or "Cultivating thoughts that you are just unlucky"

We all seem to harbor thoughts like those at one
time or another, I truly have found that negative thought brings negative results.

That is why I made the decision a long time ago
to nurture positive thoughts. It does work, Even
though we may go through periods of losing our
optimism, we quickly return to it after a bout of
pessimism, because we have grown used to being
more content and happy, when we truly focus on
those things which uplift! It can be done if we so choose to leave the media news and virulent views
out of our lives.

Achieving parity with perfected performance

Is it possible to be god-like?

We'll never know unless we try.

Think in terms of good-like--it is less overwhelming

"Come my friends, tis not too late
to seek a newer world"~~Alfred Lord Tennyson

oh, Eileen, I needed this! I have been deep in prayer and trying my best to let go of the negativity that has had it's hold on me lately. Slowly, I'm getting there...this poem is medication for me. Thank you!

It is so easy for negativity to inch its way into our lives, particularly when we are feeling low...clearly you are living proof that negative thoughts can be eliminated even during a low ebb! Positive thoughts bring positive results ... this really kicked me into touch about a couple of things. Thank you Eileen. Hope you're back on top form soon. Love Panda :)

Rings true to me. Not that i am so good at practicing what i preach, but i have heard of something called RAS (responce adaptive syndrome) It deals with an area of neuro-science in which brain chemistry is physically altered based on ones mental thought processes. If you go through your days think poorly or negatively about yourself, Your brain chemistry will reflect this. Probably with significant changes in serotonin levels. And naturally, this can also affect your physical performance. After all, what athelete shows up at the main event thinking that they do not stand a chance at winning? The losing one, that's who! Thank you E forth this refresher on positive thinking. Lord knows i need it, My mind hasn't been in the best of places recently.

In a world that is filled with negativity we can easily become overwhelmed if we let it. Prayer and meditation are avenues that keep us on an even keel.

It's never too late to change what you can...anytime.
Dr. Wayne Dyer is a favorite of mine too. This guy is terrific at disecting wisdom and then giving it back as true examples of why it's better to change the negatives in life. Is there any wonder that you and I think the same after Dr. Dyer is found to be an example of our ethics.
Wonderful words here sis. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I'm assured that you will.
Love,
Susan
