the whole scene was most appalling One that is burned into the memory and nothing will ever set it free humanity in all of it's different faces became one that day covered in ash while heroes and heroines made a mad dash to save all they could while we just helplessly stood in shock by the television
Too well, I recall that day

I recognize the first as part of Sherry's challenge. Well done. Oh, my goodness, they're all well done as I will always expect from you. :-) ~~Nordette
Eileen, this is such an excellent response to the challenge, how deeply and powerfully this expresses the horrors of that day that is burned into our hearts and minds. Excellent.
And thus, Uma Thurman became the ULTRA COOL Super and Still Making Waves adult with SUPERvision, (because J. Stock crashed and PokeMON was merely a residue of Jamaican vacation memories.)
A very fine and effective response to Sherry's Challenge
And also a very touching and emotional reminder of the horrors of 9/11
We shall never forget..

What wonderful tributes that capture the shock and horror of that heinous crime against innocent humanity. Madness indeed! Your poetic skill abounds in these verses Eileen. Bravo! Resounding applause. Love Panda :)
Beautiful! I particular am moved by the part "while we just
helplessly stood in shock by the television" For, alas, that's all we could do.
God Bless,
Lew
Stygian stimulates an allusion in me in that it also relates to the river Styx in Greek Mythlogy where the souls of the dead were ferried across into Hades.
Well done ...

It was surreal. A new set of blocks are going up.
Sad it ever happened, life still is not the norm.
This is both painful and soothing as all healing is, I suppose. Thank you for entering the challenge. I am in awe that you got this written so quickly. You had this up and posted before I could write mine and get it posted on my challenge page. You are amazing, Girlfriend!
Take care,
Sherry
