When I first started reading this poem it sounded like it was about the beauty of the earth but really you were sending off the message that mankind has turned into an evil beast. I must agree. See I want to help animals and help them find a new day for then we can live on.

At first I thought of that equisite painting of the nude young woman testing ankle deep water in the morning mist,... And then you jolted me to my senses as the reality of twin ghosts hangs over the dust of lower Manhatten on each early September morn.

Breathtaking~"One September Morn" possesses such a powerful penning and throws one aback with its' mighty truths . Hearts still shatter and are shattered, how can a heart comprehend this unbelievable horrific bombardment upon our lands. Truly I believe the victims are angels and their souls were flighted before they had time to grasp what had even occurred. It still hurts imagining our blessed land lies in constant danger and as prey.

Power struggles over faith; power struggles over territory and natural resources; power based on selfish greed. It manifests and is interpreted according to cultural bias. But the evil of genocide, however perpetrated, will never be overcome until the world is unilateral in its thinking that there is just too much at stake to keep driving down the road of national self-interest. And so far there is no model for that. United Nations hasn't invented the wheel as yet, let alone the effective fast car. At the moment, time is ticking and no-one has come up with constructive answers. Man needs to learn a little humility before it is all too late... perhaps that's the first thing to pray for... if we can remember how to bow the knee... Perhaps those angel voices might teach us how. Maybe their perspectives have a clearer view than all our various muddled thinking. At least, I guess, at this rate we are all travelling the one road to nowhere so that's a unified starting point! I am sorry for the memory and pain of such a black day in the history of our contemporary world. Personally, I am still in shock from it all. And all the politicians can do is point finger and fling blame. They are ALL to blame. Every single hand held out for more money, one of them. Perhaps if their ass's had been protecting us in the first place, Our ass's wouldn't be in slaing now. A wonderful write Eileen, just sad it had to come from such tradgedy.

S - E - P - T - E - M - B - E - R -- the tragedy that each of us felt on that sad, horrific day.

Those who terrorize will never come "to the table." It is their greed that motivates them to do unspeakable atrocities. I believe, that they only have their needs at the forefront.
