Poem Artwork

I am dwarfed by the mystery of sound
as in caves of silence it surrounds
pitch darkness descends in labyrinthine
passages of solitude where no one can see
nudity nor dispute quiddity

Something is preparing me for All Hallows Eve
my eyes beheld the demons of the mind
as ghouls and fiendish monsters come and go
some aspects of ancient goodness left behind
but scarcely enough to know

What are dreams that slip from ones control
that happen somewhere outside the soul
as ghostly apparitions mouths agape deride
and take on most horrorific shape, can it be your own frame, are you and the ghost one and the same

How does reality compare to such depravity
so normal  disappears, and in it's place a cavity
where presence of the beast is what matters the least as ones unreal actions fills the atmosphere
with deeds to fear that are worse than the beast who lives there, and so it begins

etw~
