I feel the ground moaning
I hear the air sighing
the mountains are retching
the trees are stretching
the oceans are pounding
the whole earth's resounding
with poisons we abuse our planet
which finally has reached its limit
the stars in the sky
are closing their eyes
the heavenly hosts
are acting like ghosts
The planets are spinning
in rapid rotation
while the celestial audience
is making notation
people confused in every nation
galaxies are under restriction
space travellers think it's fiction
all reaching a fevered pitch
no one knows what is which
many can't carry heavy loads
won't travel the unpaved roads
try to stay safe in their abodes
can't bear to watch world explode

Deep thoughts of contemplation of what sadly may be down the road because too many choose to look the other way until it is too late and we, I am afraid, are almost there....
Your sometimes, I guess, usual optimism is missing on this one, yet, I love this rhyme scheme. These verses are very well thought out but not slavish to the rhyme. Plus I like big topics and universal themes!
Still time to avert the disaster if we all demand a little less business as usual and increments of change NOW! For ourselves and our leaders.
