Shrouded in silence,I sit slouched ,thoughts
helter skelter not willing to stir, worn out
from the emotions of yesterdays inaugeration
Trying not to replay the day over and over
having invested too much time and discussion
already, I want my mind to be refreshed... it
was a day history was made, a near perfect day
for the new President and his beautiful family
They will be in my prayers daily as with all
leaders, and I hope he can accomplish some
of his abundant agenda,while the gods of mercy
look with favor upon him in this volatile economy
Yesterday,I watched humanity in hordes, behave
in a joyous, magnificent way, remaining civil, as
we were meant to behave,and doing so throughout
the entire day and night,
It must have given the rest of the world a lot to
think about,and it should give us the same,I hope
and pray we will continue what was begun yesterday,
and perhaps we can hope for some peace and joy in
the years ahead,if we work at it!
God bless President Obama,his family,
administration,America,and the world!

"I hope and pray we will continue what was begun yesterday." Therein is the key word...WE. President Obama gives us hope, and WE citizens must respond with our own contributions. WE cannot sit and wait for others to take responsibilities; WE must be the voice of our government; WE must contribute to the healing of our people and our lands.
"WE, the People of the United States of America, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Let us live by these words...

Who knew that yesterday we would be witnessing history? In my lifetime, I've seen Kennedy get shot; the civil rights march; man walk on the moon; the Challenger and Discovery disasters; 9/11; massive, history making storms; and so much more. I'm old, all of a sudden. But yesterday, a peaceful transition of power. You pen it well, the joy, the hope we feel. And most definately we need to keep President Obama surrounded by prayer. Well said!
