Poem Artwork

The one who tells the snow
 it's time to fall
Is the one I answer to when
I hear His call

And when He lets the clouds
release the rain
I always listen to
His sweet refrain

Sometimes when His voice
breaks out like thunder
I try to find a shelter
to hide under

But I know His lightning
won't last too long
And soon the day will
burst out in song

 He calls forth the sun
to shine its rays
To make gardens grow
in wondrous ways

Blessed when He tells
the petals to unfold
on roses, and blooms
richer than gold

Then when the sun is ready
to say goodnight
The Master artist paints
with divine delight

The colors of His palette are
beyond all imagination
So used to seeing it, we forget
it's His creation

He dazzles us with vermilion
 hues of twilight
Then in twinkling stars of indigo
He whispers goodnight.

My father told me when I was a child, "Stay in close to nature and you shall stay close to God." Your verses remind me of this, Eileen. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

"...He dazzles us with vermilion hues of twilight..." He really does, but sometimes, man is too busy to appreciate the paintings of the Master.
