trying to survive
Breathing through mucky waters I'm drowning Waiting for the sun to rise, a new day Exhausted, I try to lay down but pop right up Breathing through mucky waters I'm drowning Prednisone distorts my reality defining what is, in a kaleidoscope of illusion Racing in circles Riding a line Breathing through mucky waters I'm drowning Exhausted from prednisone buzzing Blurred from sleepless nights Not enough oxygen Confused, yet alert Eyes open, wide awake Breathing through mucky water I'm drowning No more room for air Breathing shutting tight Like dense fog Vision blurred Hands shaking I'm filling up Less room for air to pass Breathing through mucky waters I'm drowning � Anika Cooper
