Oh Pasta Spaghetti Odes
Spaghetti comes real thin, onto thick-er pasta
That has all kind of shapes and sundry textures
While most shade from white to tinted yellows
Pasta Verde is green colored with spinach
Pasta Viola is purple from tomatoes and beets
Pasta Rossa gets unique color from carrots
Pasta Anancione turns squash and pumpkin orange
Pasta Nera cuttlefish or squid ink, gives it its black color.
Oh the Ode to Spaghetti Oh’s, swimming around Boyardee
The limericks of alphabet, ABC noodle soup poetic words
Here a pipe, there a penne, there yonder be a butterfly
Or maybe - tis a bowtie; ruote wheel or maybe - pasta gear
Spirals like limp cork screws, amid elbows ‘n straight tubes
Some grooved smooth, while other spiral in outside spins.
Macccheroni cheese please, Meatball fork rolling spaghetti
Wine sauces, and Italian spices, being garlic breath delicious
Covering naked pasta in every color a gist scrumptious pastes
Taste Of Pasta Poetry amid crème de la crème divine verse ambrosia
Simmering poet palette lines - layered lasagna palate taste buds:

I also find it interesting, that until Columbus, no Italian food had any tomato in it. Tomatoes, or love apples, were considered poisonous by early New England settlers, but I believe it was the natives that showed settlers how delicious they were.
And then there's macaroni and cheese.
