Say Nay Say Yeah

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Kept hearing Say Nay repeat inside, and had to use it in a poem.

Sir Thomas Wyatt did do Poetry Justice. Poets can only hope to emulate our Poet Peers.

Some say, dyed poets, never dye, as long, as their words, be moving, stain awakened

The trump in this peace, is the little t, naught the Big t.

Say Nay Say Yeah

Dye words
dew wilt away
cellular gray decomposing
Molded to bond long ago
black mold spores fill today
Virgin white
long been -
page tarnished
yellow varnish
Say Nay
Say Nay
Sir Thomas Wyatt
amid headstone’s echo.

Head tilt down
to feather dost pillow’s
hemisphere lobe temples
Womb cradled
I to eye
asunder slumber
thy sensual Poet Paradise
Unfurls temporal folds
second to minute
dew melt quicksand quagmire
Say Yeah
Say Yeah
Sir Thomas Wyatt
do plead -
reincarnate Poet dreams.

Some say Poets
died off long ago
right vanquished by
Political Morticians
Whence henceforth
pompous frigid despots
do trump HeART’s creativity
Sentinels Poets have long been
the Sword of Words-Worth
Truth Guardians
Say Nay
Say Nay
 it is not so
Camelot Dream bee bullet gone -
assassinated.

Knead thee knees sowing
poet prayers pleat pleadings
amidst cheeks sorrows
Poet let thy moist tears
fall to fallow earth
as Poetry pyre dearth -
rich compost
Germinating another
reincarnation of Say Nay
Sir Thomas Wyatt generations
Say Yeah
Say Yeah -
it is so.

The roll call vote reveals what the voters' intention be. And woe it is to he who votes yea when he should vote nay. I have not looked up Sir Thomas Wyatt, but I'm sure his poetry and vote counted for something you admire.
