you trouble my thoughts too often
you live in my heart eternally
and at each remembrance of you
my desire runs quickly to follow
at a distance not respectably far
set afire at just the sound
of your name, image of your face
i sigh, tremble like a virgin girl
at the imagination of your arms
fleeting sensation of your lips
claiming mine in a smoldering kiss
swaying the foundation of my soul
impossible to detach your aura
from the word “love” or from
the fueling of darkest passion
within depths of heart and body
what is this thread that binds us?
tied securely around two hearts
unbroken by distance or absence
untouched by time or circumstance
until we have no choice but to love
and even if i barricade dream’s door
you slip though my sealed window
steal me away and sway me....again
