Memoirs Of A Vampiress Written In Sonnet Form.

Poem Artwork

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Desolate place, faded facade aging
a house deserted and in disrepair.
All my thoughts and fears were raging.
What was to happen to me there?
Our feet touched down as lightly
as a butterfly on rose in full bloom.
The lawn overgrown and unsightly
fueled my sense of impending doom.
Up the splintered stairs he led me
to ornately carved, heavy oak door.
I wondered what horrors might be
down her hallways, walking her floors.
A turn of the knob the hinges creak
I lift my frightened eyes and take a peak.
Room filled with golden candlelight.
Stefanos politely ushered me in.
A haven from the dark chill of night
yet a sanctuary of blackest sin.
Heavy draperies of velvet red
covered glass window panes well.
Oriental rugs of finest wool thread
over heart of pine floors would tell
many stories of history’s long ago days,
tales of dark horror and twisted romance.
Ornate mirrors hung solemnly in place.
I passed by them without a glance
for I knew a vampire had no reflection
to see it would only deepen my dejection.
He pulled me into his embrace so cold
and as though I was only his property
kissed me with depths of lust so bold
no other future than this could I see.
For though I completely loathed him
I burned with his every intimate touch
as though I had forever known him
with a passion that ached too much.
“You are mine now Lisette forever.
Never will you stray from my side
joined by death and blood together
in the shadows our eternal evil to hide."
His hands touched each forbidden place
My innocence gone now without a trace.
a vampire is not capable of seeing its reflection, even in the eyes of his lover, no wonder its embrace is so cold ... well penned, La Belle ...
You have just got to be the "Queen" of the Darkness in these chilling episodes that you so cleverly write....
Be always safe,
Karen
Why it is that dark, forbidden love, shy of the sun and only happy when all the candles are blown out?
Perhaps because in some corner of our heart resides that mischievous beautiful monster that will no scare but mesmerize.
A truly poem wandering into the psychotic paranormal world.
Georg
