"Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here”
From Dante’s Divine Comedy

Swedish Castle Gates
By La Belle Rouge

Dark this night of sinister intentions
who roam the snow capped mountains
like lost wraiths frozen in glacial time.
Clouds dart across veiled face of moon
frenetic helter skelter spirits of dead
Viking warriors sailing torment’s sea.
No golden moon glow to soften fear
only cold pewter beams fall to embrace
a bleak landscape of black and blue.
Haunting songs of wolves echo across
bare peaks, cavernous forested hollows.
What waits for thee within the gates?

Beyond the ornate gates where is forged
Dante’s admonition of the portals of Hell,
“Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here.”
But enter you will , like the cat who came
to visit but for a night and stayed forever.
Foolish curiosity obliterated her nine lives.
Enter these gates if you dare but beware
housed within these walls, marvels of evil
wonderments of the macabre and malevolent
crouch in shadowed corners ready to spring
with fangs and claws on warm naive flesh
and sate ravenous bloodlust of ancients.

Lecherous Laird and Lady welcome you in
to celebrate Halloween once again
We'll offer hospitality until it hurts

Welcome guests,
Appetizers, Entrees.... Desserts.

Oh Sweet Sweet delectations anticipating Sweden!!
I’ll be there with wrought iron
& leather bondage of entertainment to those
brave lusting vermin in need of deliverances…
Your words Dear Mistress of The Dark Chambers
Owning Lord EDvard are so perfectly cloaked with

Wow! I guess I'm glad that old Brother Edvard banned me from 'The Party.' I'll be one of those wolves, howlin way out on the bare peaks.

LaBelle,
"...cold pewter beams" sets the tone for this marvellously evocative 'nightpoem'... mistress of the dark and mysterious and threatening and so enticing places that you are. Yes!

You are such magic.
I could so picture myself there...trying to read a map to get out...I can barely make it out in the moon beams, but the moon is bright and my heart is beating hard with hope...until I glance at that moon...hoping to get a better angle for it to shine on the map...and as I look at that bright moon...right while I'm watching...a dark cloud extinguishes all light...all hope.
Thanks a lot Belle.

... do you think you could just leave my saucer of milk by the back door?????... on the other hand, maybe I just better take a quick peak through the window... if it looks too scary, prepare to have your curtains shredded!! And better leave plenty of cat litters about if the nerves really get to me...!!!!! Looks like I might be done for... Kurious K xx Smooth, classical Goth, Belle; you wear it with lush dignity and justifiable pride. xx
