to feel my hand in yours just once more
the soft brushing of your lips on mine
to hear your warm whispers of passion
feel the breeze of moist breath on nape
and your beard soft against shoulders
traveling tongue tasting familiar flavors
supple, so sensual our offerings of love
and sinuous our bodies bending, merging
the thought of your touch…only a thought
awakened heart pounds with the memory
and I can still feel your inflexible strength
held deep inside the soft yielding of desire
but I regress, in thought only, with yearning
to trace your face again in candle afterglow
with my practiced fingertips and loving lips
is time the enemy or is it our only friend?
will it circle round again to blend two lives?
will I touch you, My Love, just one more time
or sweet regression of thought...be the end?

"Just Once More!" That was my first wife's battle cry / The woman damn near killed me / Okay, just had to interject some humor here / To recall lovers and their technique's is a favorite past time of the lonely / This poem was beautifully constructed and sensuously delivered. Memories! We live by them.
True love goes through seasons and is cyclical, as you bittersweetly express here, Belle. Each turn of the wheel deepens hearts' furrows and brings forth a greater harvest.
