I once came upon a forlorn lady by the road at night. I pulled up close, rolled down my window and asked if I could be of assistance. She came close, put her hairy muscular arm on my window frame with a cigarette held out in the other hand, and huskily said, "Do you have a light?"

I replied, "No," and drove off as quickly as I could.

Such a charmer and rogue is he! But, who knows... the lady might just be willing, for she is weeping and in distress that she has not said goodbye to her mariner. Do you write more of this cad and his lady fair that he has rescued from harm in the softness of moonlight? I would love to hear more, my talented Belle.

A highwayman who is a rogue, a cad, a thief, a lover
who deftly sweeps women off their feet while their true love is at sea..,
sound like someone I know.

In the End: Apocalyptic Poetry by Debra Kraft

In the end they'll all be dancin'--all them ones that didn't die.... Dance with me in the shadows amidst the lightning and the thunder, and all that nu-cu-lar debris. See the big bang from the other side, and then open that cellar door. Go down into
