A Poem From My New Book "Haunted"

Blood Bath

many of them were beautiful
in a common, peasant sort of way
virgins, fair of face and form
dark or pale of complexion
flaxen, ebon, fiery hair
each unique in her own way
however, all blood runs red
taste and thickness varies but
without distinction, blood is blood
warm and filled with life


there was one last night
exceptional, when I had her
hung by her feet over my tub
she refused to beg for her life
or even to scream in horror
most of the little piggies squeal
I almost felt sorry for her
reluctant to slit her pulsing throat
but I soon overcame all hesitation
after all, she died for a good cause


when my manservant put her to knife
she gurgled, mouthing the word, "Mother"
no mother or father to help her now
her body jerked at the end of the ropes
as her crimson blood flowed copiously
over my bare neck and shoulders
and into my opulent marble tub
it tasted unusually sweet.... perfection
my mirror never lies, smeared red
my face looked exceptionally lovely
