A Twisted, Dark Tale Of The Old South.

Dark Revenge Part 4

The funeral was sad, Mystère and Cinder wore black.
They buried the old sinner in a deep grave out back
In quietness of night they pulled him from the grave.
The harsh master had become their zombie slave.
They were a double force, dark, unstoppable.

Slaves were all freed, Mystère was mistress now.
The voodoo zombie made to cook and forced to plow.
All day in broiling sun the zombie picked cotton.
Dead flesh hung from his bones, putrid and rotten.
The master had become the slave.

Mystère, Cinder and fair, little brother Pierre
Enjoyed the benefits of their plantation where
No one was molested and none lived in fear
The wicked had paid for his crimes, paid dear
to the forces, dark and unstoppable.

In course of years Cinder and her children passed
but the dark curse of the zombie forever lasts.
If you happen upon an old plantation overgrown
listen closely and you'll hear the zombie moan
undead, alone, doomed by forces dark, unstoppable.

I've been reading each installment of "Dark Revenge," Susan. You have woven quite a somber and sometime very frightening tale.

I the visual as I have visited some of these mansions in the south and the stories I heard! I love this story. I hope some of those slaves found their way via The Underground Railroad to a new life or through kind southern hearts. Good enough for that zombified evil master.........now the slave!!! Fantastic writing!!

Love ya!
