the unseeing dead

if they talk to you?
jarred awake by the dead

or are you strong?
are you soon going
where the dead belong?
ask them no questions
the dead tell no lies

in glazed dead eyes

with the dead still there
A unique look at dreams which sometims occur , but not often. Dark dreary nights some times beckon and call the dead,, so they say! I am not sure if its true , but you captured its essence!
While reading it, I didn't feel frightened. Perhaps I'm just too jaded. It would've been nicer if it had a kind of diabolical cadence.
While recently it hasn't happened, about three years ago I was finding quite often as I opened my eyes from sleep that I would momentarily see an entire individual, in color, close by my bedside. The image didn't stay long enough and seemed very much alive, for me to see if it had those glassy eyes or not. I wasn't frightened by the images, but wondered how my brain conjured them up when I had never seen any of them, anywhere, before. They were that clear, for just an instant.
