they dance in a meadow fair

each shinning one is inclined

darting like fireflies among the trees
as only magic wee people could
moon dancers rising over the lake
all the treasures of stardust to take
and the joys of earth to know
and when at last moonlight is gone
disappearing with the dawn
all wee dancers on the moon must go

Your moon dancers are quite a flight of fancy. Perhaps of dreams. But as I look out the cold window and see snowflakes dancing down, I could imagine such a winter world.
I can picture them, and next time there's a full moon I'm going to go out and see if I can see them. Too tiny to spy among fallen leaves? Oh, well. I can still see them in my imagination.
