Adults Fantasy Fiction: Within each one of us, there is an angel, and a devil, who are constantly fighting their battles to gain our soul. It is important that we do not allow the devil to win us over. We must allow the Angel in us to give us guidance in matters of decision-making in order to gain happiness in our lives...
NOTE: I have written this story in the voice of a married man. I hope I have presented it well.

NOTE: I have written this story in the voice of a married man. I hope I have presented it well.

There she is again!

This woman in the red dress is following us everywhere. Everywhere my wife and I would go she would be there too with us! She would look at me as though she knows me. And those eyes! Those piercing dark eyes! They seem to pierce through me, straight from my eyes down into my soul! They know my most secret desire! They know my guilty pleasure is to have her love and attention.

My wife is not aware of this woman’s existence yet. In fact, no one else seems to have noticed her, except me. It seems to me that I am the only one who can see this woman. As per usual, my wife is not paying much attention to her surroundings. It seems rather pointless to me to even invite her along on this trip.

And just when had I decided to take her along this trip anyway? Was it because she has been nagging me for a vacation for so long that I had finally given in and decided to take her along?

Seriously, I would rather get rid of my wife for good. She is always talking and talking, and nagging and nagging and just would not shut up! Quite frankly, I should just find somewhere in this foreign land; somewhere where there's a steep cliff and plot an accident for her demise. I also have another idea - I may take her on a mini ferry ride and commit her to an overboard accident. She doesn't swim well anyway.

I used to be madly in love with her, but I do not know when, or how my love for her had disappeared. She was so beautiful then, and everyone was envious of me when I married her. She had a perfect 10 body and flawless young skin, smooth and tender breast; and a pair of shapely inviting long legs. But now all that has changed! Now... All she does is filling herself with food, and letting herself grown to be like a big fat pig!

xxx

"Hello!" Greets this woman in the red dress. She is now standing at a corner in our hotel room while my wife is taking a bath in the bathroom.

"Hey there, beautiful!" I answer her back. "Where have you come from, babe? How did you get in here?"

"Can't tell. It's a secret," she smiles, tilting her body slightly forward. Her red and supple lips are inviting my kisses, and as she leans forward all I can see is her sensual and beautiful creamy smooth breast rising, begging to be touched.

I clench my fingers to control my excitement. My groin is on fire.

"Come sit here with me," I point to the space on the bed next to where I'm sitting.

Abidingly, she comes forward and sits beside me on the bed. I feel the warmness of her body penetrating every pore of my skin. All my senses are leaping for joy! We begin looking into each other's eyes. Her dark eyes are filled with passion and desire. I'm heated from head to toes, ready to spring into action. I hate myself for this weakness that always makes me a cheater! I’m now over-run with desires.

"We must be quiet," I motion for her to be quiet, "my wife is in the bathroom taking a bath."

"Do you want me?" She asks.

"Hmmm... sweetie! Do you really need to ask? Baby, I've been wanting you ever since I first laid eyes on you in the lobby." I pull her closer to me.

"I will love you," she says again. "I will love you forever if you will love me forever too."

My heart leaps with excitement. Wow!!! This must be my lucky day! And I may even get luckier each passing day in this happy land. Perhaps this is the ideal choice of destination for my vacation, but I wish I hadn't brought my wife along.

"But you must promise to do me a favour," she continues to say.

My heart is beating so fast, racing rapidly.

"Sure...anything you want me to do, babe!...anything!" I say as I kiss her smooth neck. My hands cupping her breast, feeling her nipples through her dress.

"Anything... anything you want, babe!" I continue to let my hands wander through her body, searching for those pleasurable places.

"I want you to kill your wife for me," she answers.

"Wh-a-t?" I stammer in surprise. I have not prepared for my wife’s death yet. I had the thoughts and the idea inside my head, but hearing it from this strange woman in the red dress whom I barely knew is something like out of the blues, and now the thoughts and the idea seem foreign to me. Isn't it a coincidence? And why would she want my wife to be killed? What should I say?

"Why?... I mean, why would you want my wife to be killed?" Suddenly, I'm having a change of heart already. I resent this woman's request.

"Isn't that what you had wanted to do?" She seems to see right through me, "You have been unhappy for many years. You don’t desire your wife anymore, so what's good in still wanting her around you?"

"That’s not the point, she’s still my wife."

I am beginning to get annoyed by this strange woman in the red dress. She may be beautiful, but there are plenty more of the beautiful women in this world for me and I’m not about to commit a murder just for her, especially when it’s my wife she is targeting.

"You still love her?" She seems puzzled at my reaction.

"I think so! But really, she has not been herself lately. During these past several years all she has ever been doing was to eat. She has gained a lot of weight. She used to be a petite woman, and now she's like a big fat pig."

"Ahhh!.... But don't you think that can easily be corrected with some kind of dieting?" She asks, but seems a little disappointed.

Suddenly, she pulls out a red lipstick from her purse, draws a red heart on her palm. As I look into her palm, the heart on her palm seems pulsating. The heart is alive!

And strangely, I am witnessing the most mysterious thing that has ever happened, right in front of my eyes!

The redness of the woman's dress is now beginning to fade! It is now fading into a beautiful whiteness. The woman in front of me now is wearing a beautiful white dress!

"You must remember this heart," she says, still holding up and showing me her palm. "The woman who owns this heart will always love you."

And now, without another word, she is fading away right in front of my eyes! She is now disappearing into thin air!

What's happening? Where did she go? I search for her in every corner of the room, but there is no sign of her.

Oh, perhaps, underneath the bed? I bend down to lift the skirt of the bedsheet and all I can see is an empty space underneath the bed. She is not there either! That's odd! Where can she be hiding?

Suddenly...

"Ta-DAH!!!" Loud noise has broken out.

Christ!!! That scared the shit out of me!!! Like a bolt of lightning has just struck me!

The bathroom door has just swung open, and there stands my wife! She always startles me, breaking all my secret thoughts! There she stands now - wearing a lovely see-through lingerie! Her pink nipples standing up for my attention, attempting to protrude through the fabrics. She probably had specially bought this lovely lingerie for this occasion.

"Hello, honey! How do I look?" She asks me sweetly.

"You look lovely," I respond honestly and reach over to her with open arms. Happy, and surprised at the thought that she would do this to for me. Quite frankly, she looks rather sexy tonight.

"Come here, my sexy woman!"

She hops over and dives right into the spot next to me. Lively, full of vitality, and ready for action!

That’s one good thing about my wife. She would never doubt me, nor would she ask any questions. When she makes love, you bet it’s the best sex ever! She would always know where to kiss me, and always knows best where to touch me to awaken that sexual beast in me.

My wife is the best in bed!

"See this?" She takes a lipstick out of her makeup pouch, draws two hearts onto her palm, with an arrow through them. I swear to God when I look at those hearts, one of them is alive and pulsating!

"Thanks, hun, for this second honeymoon!" She says sweetly, leaning forward to hug me. I feel the warmness of her body through the lingerie. "We belong together forever!"

"Yes, forever..." I smile in contentment.

The husband was consumed by the devil, but luckily was saved by an angel towards the end of the story.

The moral of the story is "Treasure what you have in your possession for once it's gone, you may not find the same treasure ever again!"

Great story with a moral lesson...when good and evil
is one and the same...in all...the most difficult part
is to...find the words...You've found them...explained
and helped to understand "that evil".

"In each of us, two natures are at war - the good and
the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them,
and one of them must conquer. But in our own hands lies
the POWER TO CHOOSE - WHAT WE WANT MOST TO BE WE ARE" -
- Robert Louis Stevenson.

Amazing! Thank you Sandie.
Keep up your good work!

A great write in the poetry section. Methinks you're looking for readers.

The thing that first and foremost came to my mind was the song, "Devil with a red dress, devil with a red dress, devil when the red dress on!"

The pulsing heart on the wife's hand leads me to believe that there's more to this devil and he has reached the wife as well, not the husband.

I'll be looking forward to her arrival in my vicinity because she's the kind of devil I want to hook up with. ;-)

Thank you, Nancie, and May, for your wonderful comment to this poem/story!

.Nancie: I always like it when my poems and stories are properly-read and interpreted by others. You are spot on about this man. He is suffering from his guilty conscience and has been seeing the devil who has been trying to seduce him, because one of his biggest weakness is women, that is why the devil comes to him as a woman to seduce and convince him that it is okay to kill his wife and she wanted him to do so for her. But at the most crucial moment, this man realized that his wife has always been a good wife, and he would never want to harm her or let anyone to think of ways to harm her. At the end as the devil fades away, his guardian angel makes a brief appearance before fading to let him know he has beaten the devil in his soul.

Thank you both, for reading this and commenting on this!

AWESOME story/poem! Sandie, I always look forward to your writing, because it tells a story is ridden with plots. This one is well written! I'm assuming that the woman in red dress is this man's wicked guilty conscience, that is why no one else can see her except this man himself. He has one chance to preserve his marriage and I'm glad he did when he realized how precious his wife still was to him. I absolutely adore the ending when the dress color of the woman changed into a "beautiful whiteness". Perhaps the angel in him has won the battle over his devil.

Quite an extraordinary tale!

What an interesting tale, Sandie! I like how you've always written the stories without a concrete conclusion, leaving the readers to draw their own conclusions. I can see there are 3 possible conclusions in this ending:

1) The woman in red dress was a devil, but because she could not convice this man to kill his wife, so eventually she faded away, and the white dress angel came to rescue the man's soul, making him a caring and loving husband once again.

2) The devil has become an angel because her red dress faded and turned into a "beautiful whiteness" (as you have described it) and now inhabiting in the wife's soul, making her a much more beautiful and loving person as the man would see her to be.

3) It's all about the man's decision-making to whether or not to murder his wife, and at the end he chose the guidance from his angel to save his marriage instead.

I absolutely love this story, Sandie! Well-done!

May
