Debra Baker, you have written a beautiful, sensual verse of lyrical poetry that is filled with stirring imagery.
In 14 short lines you have taken us from the awakening of life to the giving of life to the next generation. And I loved all the action your words were conjuring my mind to fill in. I think it all began when "she lay enticing" and I felt the unrepressible fire starting. So after a quick cold shower--that really didn't seem to work--I came back for seconds. (Ya can't keep a good man down when the enticement's right!)
The dormant sensuality of this write of werewolves and demons strokes the cold chills of fear that we all love and the forthcoming birth adds an unusal twist to this...hope you have a follow up.
A search for the ghost of a chorus girl chorine haunting a costume designer’s Manhattan apartment leads to an encounter with an eccentric, mischievous witch with the ability to send folks back through time…in this case, the 1919 Ziegfeld Follies.
