Love’s Chase
Lets run through the shire, green as emeralds
With the grasses swaying in the gentle breeze,
And the birds sing in the trees, love songs
To one another as the setting sun casts
Hues of brilliance upon our faces.
Dance with me, under twilight’s blanket
With winking stars that begin to shine,
Much like diamonds hung in the darkening sky
And bid adieu to the daylight hour,
Basking in the beauty of the coming moon
In all her silvery glory.
She smiles down upon us, dancing now
In the grove, hearts fluttering like hummingbirds
Drinking nectar from the flowers.
Take me home to where legends roam free
Amongst the living souls that gather,
With the babbling brook to speak in tongues
And stroll through the forests, ancient and all
Knowing of life, and of death.
Let me be thy moon, and thou shalt
Be my shining sun, giving chase,
All in the name of love.
