What If?
What if the moon shall shine no more
What if the sun doth rise and shed it’s deadly glint upon mine skin
Would thy still kiss the memory of me?
What if this vessel, which harbours my very soul, fades
What if I become no more in this corporeal world
Would thy love still hold me dear?
Forget me not, I can only hope!
For thou art my soul, my love, my beloved
And I am thy own to keep, nestled deep down
In thy heart for all eternity.
