Blood Wings

Whisk me away upon the wings of

Demons, with their fanciful delights

Of blood.  Entice me and excite me,

With thy invisible fingers at midnight.

The witching hour, vapourous creatures

Of the night, lurking in shadows and living

In the dreams of others.  Carry me to

The clouds which darken the skies above

With thunderous waves of lightning.  Let thy

Frightening smile caress this flesh until

It bleeds.  Carry me upon thy bloody wings

Of purest night.  Sing that sweet song

So that my ears might weep in tune.

I give thee my life to drink, or one small price …

… Share with me thine own red life.

Well done, Laura. The imagery is superb and the submission is sublime.

"Carry me to

The clouds which darken the skies above

With thunderous waves of lightning". I've often thought that the primal fear sparked by the lightning in a storm somehow perpetuates the storm.

Intriguing use of imagery. Sounds like an investigation of the darker side of the human psyche...but I gotta ask...why can't the good side win?

Just dropping by,

NOW! THIS sounds like an exciting adventure to me! LOL! Seriously though, VERY well done. It has a naughty appeal to it that I do so adore.

Thank you,

Teresa
