The cold rains bite as they fall,
A steady rain that chills, to the core.
From beneath a woolen shroud, there
Stares a pair of eyes, one who’s soul
Burns so very bright. She’s on the
Prowl, the hunger’s in control. It
Gnaws at her insides, as she tries to
Fight this demon inside.
By cover of night, she hunts, in search
For what has been lost.
Life
A twisted soul, one that was once
So pure, so full of gold. The hunger
Now as blackened this soul. She is
The beauty which sleeps during light,
Resting peacefully from this horrid blight.
Yet, in this darkness there resides something
More, as memories she clings to keep her
From sliding all the more.
By cover of night, she hunts, in search
For what has been lost.
Love
He comes to her, with windswept kisses
That drown out the sobs she weeps
At night. Invisible arms to caress as
The rain filters downward, mixing with
Tears of pain. Her face turned skyward,
She thanks the wind. Sending a whisper,
In hopes that he can hear.
By cover of night, she hunts, in search
For what has been lost.
