I admire all poets who can write haikus--or senryus--whatever they're called -- I never could. I tried really hard to, but the result was horrible. I love the way yours just sound like a thought -- they're not forced out into 5-7-5 format. I see you cheated a bit on the last one -- I respect you even more for that --that "for" on "forever" doesn't count anyways, does it? I love the refrain "if I could..." and the thought is fluid, not disjointed (another reason why I never really liked ku's) and yet very concise. I like your style. --Charlie
