Poetry Girl 3

Dan Johnson

sit please, let us talk… and we talked and talked and talked.

we do that a lot, you know, talk and talk and talk. It started when
you invited me into your world

we
hold hands
drink sweet wine
lose all track of time,

but I have to say, at the beginning
you intimidated me
i can say it now.
you have such a profound
use of
words,
phrases,
sentences,
paragraphs that
become pages that
become books that
become volumes of love.

that is the way you magically weave words to a complete and beautiful thought.

just like the braids in your hair, you weave them so well,
hands that wave like a magic wand, they
mesmerize,
tantalize,
make my sensors rise
from that first moment, i knew
you are, and always will be my poetry girl. .

I can relate, Dan. I'm been known to spend a whole night talking and was surprised to see the sun rise. It just takes the right girl. Thanks for sharing.

We all know this fellow named Dan
He does the best that he can
He shares his verses
Doesn't use curses
He's not just a "flash in the pan"

There. A limerick just composed for you. Love and peace,

Regis
