In light of the horrible event that took place in Arizona, this past weekend, you would think that we could put a hold on the evil 'words' that we spit from our mouths, but I have personally recieved three emails filled with anger and hate towards the government and the President. When will this madness end?
It's not the guns - it's the way we ignore, belittle, pass by, excuse, forget, abuse, turn our backs and leave our children to let the electronic world raise them. The future is in our children. We are running out of time but we still have time to pull it together if only we would all finally get it, it's not the other guys job, it's OUR job. Heal the children and we heal the world, then the politicians will fade into whatever crook and cranny their nest crooked step will lead them. Heal the world, heal the children. I love your stuff Dan, keep it coming, I am SOOOOO glad to back here!
D. L., I see no connection between the political rhetoric in America and this isolated incident of pure insanity. I believe this is simply an isolated case of a very deranged young man seeking what he believes is fame and revenge for something which has not yet been made clear. It has already been pointed out that he did not follow the main stream news media and American politics. The media is doing their level best to create the news and make money at the expense of the emotions of the victim's families, friends and the American people. This tragedy had nothing to do with the state of America's political environment. Many foul things have been said about some political figures, news figures and fingers wrongly pointed to assess blame without facts as a result of this tragic incident. My heart is heaviest for the loss of the nine year old girl. My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families. What a shame. What a loss. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Politics is simply a game where we hear "he said, she said" and most of the time what "they" said is taken completely out of context by the media...then some unstable mind hears what he wants to and decides to make the world a better place.....a dangerous game don't you think? Well penned, Dan...
Unfortunately, I think it's just the beginning of even worse things to happen. I've hated to fly since 9/11. Pretty soon, I going to hate walking down the street.

Dan, we're on the same page or i guess i should say same words....i had the exact feeling and was running the title word through my head,and trying to turn it into a decent write,but i was afraid my anger wouldn't cool off enought,or allow me to get past it so i tumbled the thoughs around untll i read your presentation,and you put into words what i wa also feeling,and in a non preachy ...non- threating way..nice work...and I'm sorry to say I see no ENDin sight
the roots of hate infiltrate the entire collection human consciousness...forgive and hold no judgments ever and you personally will affect the world you perceive. Seek not the media overplay of the drama...instead seek the higher wisdom of the compassion this event has to offer.
It will only end when hate does. I don't mean to lessen the tragedy by saying, there have always been tragedies but we werem't aware of them. Because of the media we now are. It is madness Dan. I hope you plan on sending this poem to me while it's still timely.

It hasn't and unfortunately it never will. Senseless violence perpetrated in the name of politics is no more or less common than the hundreds of street killings that occur every year for a variety of reasons. Just better press. Ask Yoko Ono. Patrick
The day before the incident in Tucson there was another shooting in a large mall 15 miles down the road in Chandler. Cuns are plenty and easy to get in Arizona. Excellent write, Dan.
