As a Child I watched and was in awe of the world
Everything exciting and new while I learned the ways of chaos
Very young I witnessed happy homes torn apart
Only to be reconciled in the wee hours of light
I've seen loving parents' work hard and long to survive a struggle
While others grew in a house where no love lived
As a teenager I witnessed first hand the devils lust and lies
And seen how drugs dismantle communities and family
As a young man I've known despair and prosperity
Lust and love, pain and pleasure, hope and faith
I've loved the Lord and danced with the Devil
Life through these eyes of mine...
