Batter Up!!! He takes the plate and waits Anticipating the speed, height and curve of the oncoming pitch Here it comes!!! The pitcher aims and throws Communicating with her words and voice the reply she expects Holy Cow!!! The batter stands, braced Responding to her needs, dreams and hopes with his own swing A Home Run!!! I'm playing in a womens soft pitch league, and this one "hits" home. (I never really liked baseball, but I'm having a blast)
