Listening to the music
playing on my roof
and on the sidewalks
Music made by quenching
teardrops of rain

Patter and mist
the light wind that blows
through my open door
Stretching like a cat
lazy and languid

Scents of freshness
wafting through the breeze
and in my nose
Reminding my senses of
the smell of you

Distant thunder claps
the cymbals of rain
comforting the sky
Billowing grey clouds
Envelope me

I drift with the clouds
lost in my thoughts of you
