Five miles wide and two miles deep
The rock moved quickly on
For thousands of years it had sailed this course
Someone's world would soon be gone

Up in front a sky blue dot appeared
Growing bigger like a swelling balloon
This speeding death ray held it's course
It would reach it's target soon

By now the people from this planet knew
Just what was speeding fast their way
No time to counter or flee elsewhere
Cause' they only had one day

Why did no one see this before?
No warning or time to run
But this stone killer wasn't seen because
Well, it crept up from behind the sun

But in the nick of time, it sailed on past
And a white streak lined the sky
So we must better scan the heaven's my friends
Or the end of time will be nigh

Cause' who knows what is out there
And don't forget, we've been hit before
There may be a big rock hutling down
That could soon be knocking on our door
