Brian Blyberg he lives next door to me
He's a neighbor who's thoughtful and kind
But Brian has a handicap tougher than most
You see, Brian he was born blind

But Brian doesn't let this get him down
To him its mere bagatelle
Cause' Brian can do things most people can't
And he can do them really well

He fixed up his shed, mended the fence
Doesn't ask for or want your assistance
Cause' Brians independant, so don't even try
This will only be met with resistance

He loves to visit the different bars
And he'll sup a pint or two
With 'Dez' his dog down by his feet
Brian would love to talk with you

There's not a town he doesn't know
Why he knows them more than most
And I'm sure Brians at his happiest
When he's travelling down the coast

Now he favour's those little villages
And he's a regular down those ways
There's not too many in those Strangford towns
Haven't met with Brian and Dez

So I'll wish him all the best in life
A life where he's made his mark
Cause' Brian has enough light in his heart
Even though his world is dark
