Sometimes I Need To Be Sheltered In Loving, Strong Arms

I awoke in the shelter of your loving, strong arms, I was cryin in my sleep,
Night Terrors, demons from the past, into my dreams did creep.
You rocked me in your arms and comforted me like a child,
Whispering soothing words, realizing my Night Terrors are a trial.
You whisper," Hush-a-By, Sweet Baby, I'll kiss your tears away",
" I'm her to slay the dragon, safely within my love you'll stay".
I give a shuddering sigh and nestle in your arms,
I know I'm home, safe from all that harms.
Then with loving fingertips, you stroke my hair,
It just melts me, knowing that you care.
As you sing the Hush-A-By Lullaby, that will lull me to sleep,
I know that you are my fortress of love, my knight and castle keep.
