My Darling, I will soon fall under the Sandman's spell and will join you in Dreamscape

Tonight sleep is an elusive dream,
My eyes won't close and my weary body screams!
Darling, you haunt me like a lost spirit,
I know when you sigh my name, because I can hear it.
I vainly try to close my eyes, for in sleep I fly to you,
Then and only then, my wishes come true .
We dwell in the land of Once Upon A Time,
Through the Sandman's magic, I am yours and you are mine.
I can hear your breath, so steady and true ,
It assures me that I belong with you.
I gladly go under the Sandman's spell,
For in dreams, with you I happily dwell.
In Dreamscape is the only time that I am real,
Only there am I allowed to do and say what I feel.
In the light of day my love for you seems so wrong,
It seems out of place and should not belong.
Is loving you so wrong, for I can't stop my feelings,
Fighting them is painful and sends my emotions reeling.
Your voice is a constant reminder that you truly exist,
I ache for your touch and your kiss.
The Sandman is now here, to sprinkle stardust and put me on the magic carpet ride,
I will soon join you and snuggle at your side.

Don't you just love sleepy travel! I really am right there with you, to have a dream lover, that is the best, because he can be whoever, you want him to be, perfect in every way shape or form...Dream on Sister!

The world of dreams (day and night dreams) sometimes allows us the contentment of enjoying the things in life we may never have. Fame, riches, power and yes illicit love that is forbidden in the real world. Your poetry though a little sad for your dream may never be realized is also hopeful in a way that maybe the dream isn't going to be unreality forever. Good write SC.
