I ache for him to hold me, when we waltz my feet never touch the ground.
His voice is like a whispering wind,
As he begs me to come to him again.
I know it is insane, but I must be at his side,
His sweet love takes me on a magic carpet ride.
His touch is warm and gentle as a Spring Breeze,
He whispers of romance and love, making me weak in the knees.
He is perfect in my sight,
As we waltz in the moonlight.
We always meet in secret, we are discreet,
His appearence would make most folks turn white as a sheet.
I can see starlight through his handsome face,
As we dance amid the tombstones, he is at home and I am out of place.
He was a Rebel in the Civil War, that is how he lost his life,
He never really got to live, or make someone his wife.
So Beau and I waltz nightly and I feel the chill of his touch,
I can't wait for our Midnight Rendezvous, I love him so much.
