She was wounded, cast away by careless hands,
Her hopeless heart was so in need of a man to understand.
Her aqua eyes were seeking a candle's warm glow in the night,
Her eyes strained through life's gloom, as she whispered a prayer for a guiding light.
She was unloved, unwanted, abandoned, so alone,
She was Love's Walking Wounded, seeking the comfort of a loving home.
A sad woman-child, weeping endless tears,
Hope was all but lost, after so many painful years.
Passion had grown cold, her trust lay dying on the floor,
Forgotten dreams she had locked deep within her core.
Her Fairy Tale Mentality, still courted a flickering spark,
She dreams of a Knight that dwells in misty hope, a Knight to rescue her from the dark.
A Knight, The Seeker Of Lost Causes, bravely gallops in to save the prize,
He comes to liberate her heart and kiss away the tears she cries.
No expections does he hold, wants no payment for the quest,
He wants merely her trust and honesty and a heart for GOD to bless.
