Have You Touched Me Today?

Life runs at a frantic pace, we leave by different doors,
It will be many hours before we are together once more.
In this busy rush to madness, while running all the way,
Do you recall, if you took the time to touch me today?
Did you take the time to gather me near?
To make any memories that I can hold dear?
In your great rush to get ahead,
Did you think about us later in bed?
Did you take the time to tell me something sweet?
While like ships passing, we briefly meet.
I need more than a roof over my head,
I need a passionate lover to share my bed.
Will you stay oblivious to me, assuming I will stay?
Or will you come to your senses and touch me today.

This is a soft, yet highly impacting poem... which echoes the sentiments of many lovers unintentionally forgotten due to the dalily stresses of life. I must go now... for I have someone to hug this morning. Beautifully written sentiment!

This is so sad and bitterly true. All too often we forget that our lovers, husbands, wifes or even just friends and family need to hear us say and do things that show we love them and not just taking them for granted. Well done SC.
