Runaway feelings, fueled by fantasy,
A Poet lives in Passion's limbo, not in reality.
Can we be held responsible for Runaway Feelings,
Feelings that haunts us like restless ghosts and keeps us reeling.
Poets fall in love so easily, we have a gentle heart and soul,
Passion keeps us giddy, our desire burns out of control!
Is it truly love, or just a sexual high?
An ignited momentary blaze that will soon burn out and die.
Runaway Feelings are like fantasies and dreams,
All smoke and mirrors, nothing is as it seems.
Shall we try to fight these Runaway Feelings, or just let them play,
Hoping that in time these strange urges will just go away.
When reading a poet's passionate poetry, it's hard to resist it's call,
To feed upon the fantasy, to become lured, smittened and enthralled.
Within dreams and fantasy, there are no rules,
Poets are Fantasy Weavers, pens and paper are their tools.
So I weave you a fantasy, where we can live vicarlously within my write,
For only in my poetry am I allowed to actually hold you tight.
Fantasy weavers indeed, never to come to a conclusion because then what would anyone write about. A gem indeed...
