One voice screaming in the darkness
One shadow moving through the mist
One moment that will never be forgotten
One chance that will never be relived
I don’t believe in the word ‘never’
I’m too stubborn to give up
My perseverance is legendary
My loyalty is sincere
I believe in the life I’m living
Even though so many doubt
I look forward to the day
That I shove their negativity down their throats
I live in a dreamer’s solitude
I use the stars as my guide
I listen to the soft still voice inside my head
And I don’t turn and hide
At times, I’m a solitary figure
Walking alone in the dead of night
An all-encompassing pitch-blackness
Obscuring my mind and sight
For years I thought I walked alone on this path
With so little creative light
Just one lone dreamer
Standing amidst a crowd of unbelieving twits
It’s amazing how many others
Know of the trail that I’ve trod
Who have kissed the same pavement
That I too have fallen upon
It’s a relieve to finally have
People that cheer me on
Friends who have first hand experience
Of the long road I’ve traveled down
