On the Disabled bus, to and from rehabilitation, my friend Larry, when he is there, sits and talks with me about just the oddest and simple things in his surroundings. It makes me thankful for what I have. Sadly enough, he will never grow any older mentally. His body is already old but mentally he is still a child.
He is so childlike, yet very innocent too. He talks of the deep green grass, and he reminds me to have my seatbelt on, for it is so very important!
We ride the bus, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday together. He tells me he loves me. I feel loved by my new friend on the bus. And, I love him as a friend.
He reminds me of the simple things in life.

The simple things in life are the ones that matter, and you showed this with your loving poem. He sounds like a great person to know and be friends with.
