Dad and Mom divorced when I was just four years old. Upon seeing this framed picture, it sparked a memory of going to church with Dad on certain days and clinging to the fact that something higher above me was there. I had totally forgotten about this fact in my life. My Yellow dress was my favorite, I would wear it when it did not fit anymore.
A friend of the family abused me in this dress. 3 years later, my step-father abused me for 7 years until it stopped with the threat of jail. We could not make charges stick though. The man has since Died of throat cancer and I presume is in Hell. He molested other town girls, not just us 4 girls.
Picture sparked a memory; my favorite yellow dress! I was just four, and he stayed with us. He made a visit to my room. I was scared! He went away two days later, I did not see the other man, the boogeyman, known as "Sam", until three years later. Then, he stayed til I was Fourteen!
God saw me thru all of this, although I was not sure who he was back then! (Smile)
