I am the child,
Priceless and pure,
So much damage,
I had to endure.
The spirit within me,
A valuable gift,
Chose healing and victory,
Giving self-worth a lift!

I wrote this while having in mind what my inner child, whom I call, "Boo", had to go through as an abused child sexually while growing up. She had to endure so very much and take on the responsibilities of the household while the older kids were at school and I was left at home, with the abuser.

My nickname while growing up used to be, "Becky Boo". My real name is Rebecca.
