Please note: This poem is about 90% truth and 10% fiction.
Authors note: Both women have broken up and Rebecca has declared herself to be a Christian and has given up the Gay lifestyle as of the night she was SAVED on November 16th, 2003 at exactly 11:00pm!
Like the Brilliance of the stars, over the hills with peaks of light shining down upon you, You dance to the music with me.
The music stops and my heart flutters as you ask me a question! Under a moonlight sky, you get down on one knee and say, "Will you marry me? Will you be my partner for Life?" I hesitate and the moment is lost, forever!
There are soooo many things I would take back and do OVER again and DIFFERENTLY this time! I gave you my answer, later that evening. I do not know how you put up with me! I apologize~ My answer is Yes!
We have to WAIT though, until you or I can get away from our jobs/schooling. You are now in Iowa and I am here in Texas. I miss you and Beana so very much!
I ignite with a fiery passion for you, and an unquenchable thirst of love and family for you both, for "Beana"(Her name is Laurina). I shall keep my hunger for love aside, until we meet again. You and Laurina are the "Apple of my eye!"

Moments still have value... even with change. Spoken from within truth even if mixed with fiction. Well done.
sometimes you gotta say what has to be said, no matter what the consequence...to me, it doesn't matter what is true or what is not, the fact that it was written/said, says all that needs to be said...keep writin'...keep livin'...
terrific write, becca; well done! :D (((HUGS))) and much love, your fellow texas friend, karen lynn.

A good sign of a great writer is when the reader is not sure what part is fiction and what part is real. :-) You have accomplished this within this write.
Just a simple gathering of the Gay & Lesbian Activist Association of New Birch and Sipsboror (GLAABS) and we plunge down a hilarious ride to perdition.
Beautifully expressed Becca!
